Sir Patrick Stewart Portrait Sitting

I had assumed that only sheer luck or destiny would place Sir Patrick Stewart in front of my lens. Somewhat surprisingly though, after 24 years of dreaming about capturing his portrait, it was the sight of a vulgar, pink Hummer that inspired our meeting. The sitting would change my stars from a provincial photographer to an international portraitist working in London & Los Angeles.

I invited Sir Ian to sit for a portrait session while he and Sir Patrick Stewart were performing Waiting for Godot in the Cort Theatre in New York and was flabbergasted when he accepted.

Mayor of Liverpool ‘Joe' Anderson OBE is a British Labour Party politician who is the first directly elected mayor of Liverpool, having been elected with 57% of the vote on 3 May 2012. He was previously leader of the Liverpool City Council from the 2010 Council election until the 2012 Mayoral election.

David Warner (Actor) Portrait Acquired by National Portrait Gallery London

We are pleased to announce that a portrait of Actor David Warner (Titanic, Time Bandits, Omen) taken by Rory Lewis Photographer, has been acquired by the National Portrait Gallery London. The portrait sitting was David’s the first he has attended since Cecil Beaton photographed him in 1966.

David Warner Portrait Sitting

Now 72 I wanted to capture a portrait of a more seasoned experienced Warner for my Northerners Portrait Exhibition. To Coax him into sitting, I wrote several letters to David’s various representing agencies both in the UK and USA; alas without a reply. Not giving up I discovered via Social Networking, David was attending at Hammer Horror Convention in London.
