Natalie Dormer, celebrated for her commanding performances in Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games, and The Tudors, sat for a portrait at my London studio as part of my ongoing Expressive Portraits project.

I first wrote to Natalie over a year prior to the sitting, extending an invitation to take part in the series — a reminder of just how many requests and demands are placed upon actors of her calibre. When the opportunity finally aligned, the session unfolded with remarkable ease and focus.

Natalie brings an exceptional presence to the lens: intelligent, instinctive, and quietly powerful.
