Andy Burnham was elected Mayor of Greater Manchester in May 2017, and was re-elected for a second term in May 2021. I was delighted to capture Andy on location at the Mayors office in Manchester.

Recreating St. Thomas - Jusepe de Ribera

In his depiction of the doubting apostle Saint Thomas, he holds the spear that he was martyred with near Madras. The portrait inspired a recent sitting for my Selah project, with Actor Tony Amendola. Tony boasts a noble profile, sitting for me several times over the past few years, he is one of my favourite subjects.

He was a founding member of New York’s Elevator Repair Service Theater and is a member of LA’s Antaeus and Evidence Room companies. Multi award winning, Leo is one of the Nation’s finest stage actors. In love with style of headshots Leo arranged a SECOND Actors Headshots session at the Studio City Studio last month.

April saw me spending three weeks back over the pond in Los Angeles, leading me to dub the city my second home. This avenue of photography has really taken off for my business. Back in 2014 it accounted for barely 2% of my work load. Now, in 2016, 15% of my assignments take place in the City of Angels.

General Sir Nicholas Houghton is Chief of the Defence Staff of the British Armed Forces. At the beginning of this year, I wrote a letter to Ministry of Defence Head Quarters at Whitehall to invite General Houghton to Sit for a Northerners Photography Exhibition Portrait, the General being from Otley, Yorkshire.
