These are recent Los Angeles actor headshots, photographed last week in my Downtown LA studio. Kadu is an imposing presence and a genuinely talented actor — the kind of subject who makes the room go a little quieter the moment he settles in front of the camera.
Kadu De Rosa is a Brazilian actor, former fashion model and marine engineer who speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish fluently. He grew up beside a beach in the south of Brazil, surfing almost every day — a real beach boy. After training as a marine engineer and working as a model, he moved to New York, where he fell in love with acting at the Stella Adler Studio.
Today he is a bi-coastal actor working in film and television across New York and Los Angeles, where he has been based since 2019. There's a stillness to him on camera that you can't manufacture — it has to be lived in. That's exactly what these frames were built around.
